The Opportunity Reporting to the National BDM – Install & Construction, you will be responsible for owning and implementing the installer programs designed to accelerate growth of James Hardie products through driving down installed costs and improving quality of installation in Victoria.

As the local Installation expert, you will work closely with the commercial team to develop installer capability in addition to providing the right level of confidence with builders to support consistent pricing.

Key Responsibilities Own the installer program for VIC designed to drive lower on the wall costs by improving the installer efficiency, quality and capability.
Increase sales for new James Hardie exterior products & systems by improving key customer sales team's capability.
Provide value adding construction expertise as part of the pre-sales, negotiation and implementation phase of the sales process to support the target and conversion of top 200 builders.
Support 3rd party organisations offering supply and install services for new James Hardie products, including driving quality and efficiencies through guidance and training.
Plan for potential issues to prevent and/or minimise 'pain points' in the transition to new James Hardie products/systems.
Liaise with and facilitate the relationship with target carpenters and other installation crews to drive down on the wall costs and ensure quality construction standards are met.
Work with complementary product manufacturers, such as framing fabricators, fixing and insulation suppliers to provide a full walling solution.
Support the development and maintenance of expert knowledge of all James Hardie competing product offers including key features and price points.
Deliver training programs to improve the James Hardie sales team's capability to drive growth.
Provide feedback on construction trends/developments and opportunities for product and service enhancements.
About You: Minimum 5 years' experience within the residential building industry in a similar position or as a site supervisor.
Prior trades, particularly carpentry, experience, would be strongly desired.
Experience of working in a construction selling role for a building products company including successfully introducing new products to builders advantageous.
Understanding of relevant OH&S and applicable building regulations and requirements.
Strong communication, networking and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive rapport and relationships.
Strong organisational skills ideally gained from working knowledge of construction project management.
Ability to proactively pre-empt challenges and problem solve effectively.
