Offering a range of logistics services from warehousing, contract logistics, linehaul, intermodal transport, global freight forwarding and bulk logistics, we do logistics differently.Reporting to the Sales Manager – Industrial and based in our Clayton office, the role of the Business Development Manager is pivotal in advancing the company's growth strategy with a tailored focus on the Industrial sector.
This position strategically identifies and pursues new business opportunities, aligning closely with Visy Logistics' overarching growth strategy.
You will bring your deep understanding of logistics and supply chain with a solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility and NHVR legislation.What you will do: Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients and business opportunities within the industrial sectorAchieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals set for the industrial vertical.Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and industry partners.Provide regular and accurate reports on business development activities, including sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.Develop and implement innovative sales strategies and initiatives to drive business growth.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of client solutions and services.
What You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree in business related discipline or relevant experience.Minimum of 3-5 years' in business development, sales, or client management within logistics or supply chain.Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and executing sales growth pipelines, converting leads into sales, and managing large tender responses.Must have CoR/NHVR legislation knowledge.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM sales platforms, preferred Salesforce.Willingness to travel as needed within the AU region if required.
