What is the role? There is now an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Regional Service Centre team on a full-time, permanent basis based in Bibra Lakes, Perth, WA.
The primary purpose of this role is to develop the regional Capital Sales and Customer Support market in conjunction with the RME Sales team.
An essential mechanism for success in this role is the cultivation of relationships with RME's Customers that support the development of deep Customer insights at a region- and organisation-wide level.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will identify opportunities for RME solutions through the expansion of agreed regional markets for RME's products, services and solutions in line with RME's overarching global Customer strategies.
Role responsibilities will include:
define, develop and execute leads and opportunities in the greenfield and brownfield markets for Capital opportunities;sales development for RME's capital market and suite of Mill Relining Technologies;develop sales strategies and coordinate business development tactics;build and refine effective networks and relationships with all key stakeholders across the grinding industry;identify opportunities for RME Mill Relining Machine replacements;support the Customer Support team with medium- to large-scale commercial opportunities;initiate engagement with RME Customers, their projects and the specific stakeholders within the project (such as EPCMs, Mill Suppliers and various third-party suppliers in line with local and global RME strategies);develop and maintain close working relationships with RME affiliates including mill manufacturers, liner manufacturers, engineering consultants, grinding media and bolt suppliers on an ongoing basis; andwork closely with other RME employees including (but not limited) to the Key Account Managers (KAMs) and Service Account Managers (SAMs).What are we looking for? To be successful in this role, you will possess: At least 5 years significant strategic business development and sales experienceExperience in sales and / or business development processes within a large corporate Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)Proven track record in developing strategies and executing tactics in order to achieve sales and / or business development targetsAbility to adhere to a structured sales process within a dynamic environmentHigh-level communication and presentation skills to represent RME at all levels at mine sites, mining company head offices, mining engineering consultant firms and other organisationsAbility and willingness to be persuasive in discussions with mining industry (including mine site) personnel across varying levels within an organisationAbility to develop and maintain relationships with staff at all levels, from senior management through to mine site operational staffExperience in understanding, interpreting and negotiating supply contracts with potential and existing CustomersAn outgoing personality that allows the individual to confidently and professionally make contact by telephone and conduct personal meetings with people not previously knownEffective time management to ensure sufficient and effective Customer contact, particularly in regard to RME's global marketAttention to detail for all administrative tasks, ensuring in particular that RME's Engineering, Production and Finance Departments are adequately informed of order details and that Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system data integrity is maintainedThe ideal candidate may also possess: Tertiary qualification in a sales-related disciplineKnowledge of and a wide range of contacts within the hard rock mining industryKnowledge of and experience with the maintenance programs of grinding mills, in particular reliningFluency in a second language, particularly Russian is a distinct advantage as is a knowledge of RME Mill Relining Equipment and ServicesAll applications must include a short cover letter addressing the Skills, Qualifications and Experience as outlined above and be submitted by clicking APPLY by 19 December 2024 to 17 January 2025.
