Your opportunity:
CB&I is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Business Development Manager
to join our growing team. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new opportunities, and developing strategic relationships to expand our market presence as well as strengthening existing customer relationships.
This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the EPC project and construction industry and a proven track record in business development.
This is a full-time role situated in our Kwinana office.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with the corporate business plans.
Direct efforts and activities in creating, maintaining, and improving relationships with key stakeholders and building relations with prospective customers.
Foster and develop positive customer relations. Listen to customer needs and assist in the development of project solutions that satisfy those requirements and provide opportunities for the Company.
Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and potential clients.
Ensure that projects obtained meet Company guidelines by providing judgment and guidance in screening opportunities, contract negotiation, risk management, and profit potential.
Collaborate with the technical and project management teams to ensure client requirements are met.
Drive the sales processes, providing direction to bid teams to achieve goals on time and on budget.
Outline, write, and organize proposal documents.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
About You:
Able to share a track record of success in leading major project pursuits in the construction industry, preferably as an EPC contractor.
Familiarity with CB&I's products and market sector to ensure ability to sell CB&I's value position, execution approach, and commercial positions to customers through knowledge and authenticity.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
A savvy commercially minded individual who can develop new product and market opportunities, identify and mitigate risks involved with EPC projects, terms, and conditions.
Responsive to customers with consistent follow-up and follow-through.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
Willingness to travel as required.
Experience and Qualifications:
10+ Years' experience in a Business Development, Sales, Proposals, Commercial, or Marketing role.
Professional degree (Engineering or BS Preferred).
Knowledge of CB&I Storage Solutions.
Extensive Experience in Commercial Contracting and Negotiations.
Familiarity with the Energy & Construction Industry preferred.
