The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Speciality Retail, FMCG & Auto and Transport verticals within the Retail and Consumer business based in Melbourne. This role is within our Business Development Team where you will be responsible for defining and supporting business strategies to drive organic growth and lead expansion into new and existing markets for the industry.
As the Business Development Manager, you will: Develop and execute strategies aligned with growth plans and encourage new thinking for long-term customer partnerships and growth. Improve market understanding through competitive benchmarking and consumer behaviour analysis and lead and communicate diverse service offerings to drive growth. Support and optimise the Toll Sales 2 Delivery process for transparency and opportunity investment. Enhance customer support and delivery capabilities across borders. Generate leads and identify strategic sales opportunities through networking and develop and manage high-value relationships and strategic partnerships. Lead contract negotiations and liaise with stakeholders. About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Relevant university degree or equivalent (essential). Proven experience in business development (approximately 5+ years); demonstrated experience working in a logistics environment or related industry; proven experience in managing large accounts in a contracting business maintaining strong customer relationships; developed network of contacts and customers nationally.
