Due to growth, we are on the hunt for a highly driven Business Development Manager to join their team.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing the top key customer relationships within their business as well as developing new business opportunities and the satisfactory delivery of products and services across the country (predominantly in Sydney, Melbourne, and the Hunter Valley).
You are accountable for achieving targets, proactive client management, and forecast accuracy whilst driving adoption/usage with customers and prospects.
This role will be a 70/30 split between account management of major state and national clients and new business development.
This role is based in Sydney; however, you will be required to travel to Newcastle once a month to meet in Head Office.
About the role: Be a driving force in the success of the company's goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas.Participate in weekly sales meetings to report on market activity and insights, forecasts, opportunities, upcoming tenders, and sales strategy.Build and manage a sales pipeline through prospecting efforts within your geographical territory including new business opportunities and participation in tenders.Build and execute account management plans and strategies for each account to build client retention and growth through adoption of product ranges and securing new customer sites/departments.Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue achievement through the proper use of sales tools and understanding of the sales process.Ensure CRM is maintained daily with client communication, opportunities, and threats.Collaborate effectively and engage various pre/post sales resources including CRM, warehousing, and suppliers. What we're looking for: Track record of over-achieving quota in a current or past sales position.Minimum 4 years sales experience in account management or new business development.Network within the health sector highly favorable.Ability to identify client needs and solution sell.Ability to manage a strong pipeline of opportunities (minimum 12 months in advance).Highly motivated self-starter, eager to learn and determined to adapt quickly.Ability to manage high-end professional negotiations.Experience managing multiple concurrent client relationships.Strong computer skills.Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.Ability to work autonomously.Strong desire to succeed professionally.Driver's license.Ability to travel once a month.
