Here is what you can expect from this role: Manage and oversee a diverse pipeline of major projects, guiding them from initial development through to completion and seamless transition to the project management team.
Assess and qualify new opportunities according to established criteria to ensure alignment with the business's objectives.
Collaborate with sales managers and directors to craft innovative strategies for securing new deals.
Drive new business development by targeting projects that meet specific criteria, building relationships to secure opportunities, and gaining access to key decision-makers.
Keep up-to-date by monitoring industry sources to maintain a comprehensive understanding of upcoming projects in key markets.
Develop and execute strategies to nurture and expand key market relationships, fostering organic lead generation.
Lead and coordinate client meetings, engaging with key influencers such as specifiers, project managers, and builders, while conducting impactful showroom visits to highlight offerings and increase success in major projects.
Ensure the timely and accurate submission of tenders for projects in the pipeline, collaborating with the product team and external agencies to ensure all product and technical submissions are precise and delivered on schedule.
CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS:The successful candidate must have the drive and willingness to learn a new industry and products.
You'll be required to align with most of these requirements: Proven sales professional in the tiles industry, consistently driving strong annual turnover and delivering exceptional service.
Skilled in consultative selling, with a demonstrated ability to manage the entire sales cycle from planning to closing, excelling at building rapport, understanding customer needs, presenting tailored solutions, overcoming objections, securing business, and ensuring follow-up.
Experience working with builders and/or retail customers in similar sectors is highly advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively engage and influence individuals at all levels.
Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Proficient in using tools such as MS Office Suite, Salesforce, and other relevant systems.
