Direct Agri is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to drive agribusiness growth across the Cairns to Bowen (incl Tablelands) regions. This role is purely focused on agribusiness development and relationship management with growers and industry partners. Operational support for mobilisation, demobilisation, and worker welfare will be provided by our dedicated on-the-ground staff.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new agribusiness opportunities with banana, avocado, and citrus growers across the region.Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with growers, industry stakeholders, and key partners.Promote and expand the use of the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Program to support workforce needs.Collaborate with growers to understand their labor requirements and offer tailored workforce solutions.Provide ongoing relationship management to ensure client satisfaction and continued business growth.Qualifications and Experience: Demonstrated experience in agribusiness development within the horticultural sector, preferably with banana, avocado, or citrus growers.Strong knowledge of the PALM Program and its benefits for growers in the horticulture industry.Deep understanding of horticultural operations in Far North Queensland, with an established network of industry contacts.Proven ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and grow revenue through strategic partnerships.What We're Looking For: A proactive, results-driven individual with a passion for agriculture and business growth.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills.The ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve business goals.If you are ready to help growers succeed and drive business growth with Direct Agribusiness, we want to hear from you.
