Business Development Manager

With exposure to industrial or commercial pumps and systems to afford sage advice and credibility through experience, you are fueled by an innate passion for what you do!
Comfortable in sales, account managing existing clients and identifying and establishing new opportunity, you will naturally find satisfaction in providing class customer service and support.
Scope: Identifying customer needs and suitable solutions,you'll manage the sales cycle end to end, including technical support, whilst cyclical activity can include but is not limited to: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in water utilities, manufacturing, mining, and oil & gas sectors; Providing complex technical solutions, particularly in industrial and commercial water systems; Managing a small client base, maintaining regular communication and support; Quoting, reporting and providing accurate sales forecasts against budget; Developing call cycles to ensure consistent engagement with key stakeholders; Maintaining technical currency and across new innovations; Maintaining industry presence at relevant events and in market.
Success Profile: Proven sales experience in industrial pump solutions; OR Proven sales experience in motors/gearboxes/related field AND have a good understanding of pumps (required); Strong technical knowledge of pumping equipment, systems + applications (ideal); Experience in preparing quotations and proposals for technical products (required); The drive to autonomously build your territory + loyal customer base (required); Ability to travel often including some overnight stays (if required); Trade qualification as a mechanical fitter (advantageous however, not essential) Benefits: Package includes healthy base salary + superannuation + vehicle + bonus structure and the potential to increase base salary pending performance post probation.
