Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to lead efforts in expanding their mechanical products division across Western Australia. This role is essential in driving new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver customised solutions to industrial customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong hunter mentality, with the ability to identify and secure new projects while fostering long-term relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the industrial sector for mechanical products.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
Engage with potential customers to understand their needs and present tailored product solutions.
Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Customers include manufacturers, oil and gas firms, mining companies, and regional and national contractors in the mechanical and electrical sectors.
Lead the initiation and management of new projects, from concept through to delivery, ensuring they meet client expectations and are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure seamless project execution.
Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and industry partners, to support business development activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven track record of successful business development (B2B), sales, and account management within the industrial or mechanical products sector.
Experience in managing complex projects and working with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with mechanical products and industrial applications is advantageous.
Skills:
Strong sales acumen with a hunter mentality and a passion for driving new business.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
