This role offers an exceptional opportunity to join the Australian Subsidiary of a fast-growing Real Estate developer based in Singapore, primarily focused on property development, property investment, and hotel ownership.
Over the years, the Group has developed a portfolio of strategically located real estate assets not only in Singapore but also across the Asia Pacific region and has established a reputation for delivering high-quality and iconic developments.
They currently own two 5-Star Hotel properties in Australia and will be adding serviced apartments in Perth to their portfolio, offering you the opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business.
The company is currently seeking a
Business Development Manager
to focus on bringing in travel and building relationships with travel and tourism businesses to fill the newly developed, high-end serviced apartments in this iconic Perth building.
Some of the duties include:
Identify target accounts in the local area.
Attend local community meetings and events to network and promote the location.
Contribute to the development of the Business Plan.
Stay informed of property's performance in relation to budget, occupancy levels, and average room rate through regular review of results.
Conduct a competitor analysis including obtaining information on room rates and positive and negative attributes of competitors.
Identify target and key accounts according to the business needs.
Research target and key accounts businesses and accommodation requirements, including using appropriate research tools (e.g., STA Global reports).
Identify guests with a need for return visits.
Establish call cycles and schedule face-to-face meetings with target and key accounts.
Arrange site inspections with key decision-makers of target accounts.
Follow up on all enquiries and daily sales leads.
Make sales calls according to agreed call cycles and the Sales Activity and Promotional Plan.
Build relationships with target and key accounts through effective interpersonal communication, including identifying how account representatives prefer to work (e.g., face-to-face/email contact and frequency).
Identify actions required to deliver the maximum level of sales at the best possible price for corporate clients and report these to the Management team and HQ where appropriate.
Develop advertising and promotion ideas for the property.
This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity to make your mark on this new iconic building in a great Perth location.
To be successful, you must have at least 4 years' relevant experience as a BDM selling B2B in the Perth area. Hotel room sales, events sales, or real estate sales experience are all highly sought after for this role.
