Rystad Energy is the world's leading independent research and consulting firm focused on the global energy industry. The candidate will focus on expanding Rystad's footprint in the oil & gas industry by generating new relationships with primarily upstream operators and service companies in Australia. Candidate must have exceptional new business generation skills with experience in solution selling. As part of the sales team, the role holder can expect the support of our global client-facing research analysts and product specialists. 
Companies within the Oil & Gas industry including E&Ps, Oilfield Service firms and midstream/infrastructure companies will be the primary segments with which the candidate can expect to work. Strong negotiation skills, knowledge of the global upstream sector, experience in selling services, a consultative selling approach, product demonstrations and excellent networking skills are sought. The role holder is expected to be able to network at the C-Suite level. Travel will be expected nationally with occasional international trips. This role is open to candidates from all cities in Australia. Your responsibilities Build a pipeline of new companies to targetDesign and implement an outreach program in connection with our Marketing teamPresent the company, our research and services in person and web conferenceUnderstand the core needs of each client type and build an effective value propositionNetwork at industry events to expand our brandManage interactions through the company's CRM systemCommunicate internally with research, sales colleagues and management on actives and resultsProvide feedback and suggestions on product enhancement and new product ideasEnsure new clients are on-boarded properlyManage the right activities to deliver on an annual sales targetBasic interaction with our external local accounting and legal advisorsSkills & Experience 5-10 years of new client acquisition in the energy industry, market intelligence or adjacent industriesNegotiating with procurement and/or senior managementSelling research databases or consulting services is preferredExperience in selling subscription services is highly desirablePipeline management best practices and new business generation skillsExperience with energy-focused data and software sales related to energy supply analysis, modelling, screening and valuationsGoal oriented self-starter that can work independently, as part of a team and pull in resources as requiredBuilding value propositions for our databases based upon specific personas and company typesA strong existing network and the ability to quickly and effectively build new networksUsing standard Office tools and CRM systemsSales pipeline management and robust forecasting#J-18808-Ljbffr
