An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing, family-owned company that is a market leader within the packaging industry. This role offers a unique mix of relationship management and new business development, providing an autonomous, long-term opportunity to work with top-tier clients. The successful candidate will be based in Welshpool, WA 6106, and will enjoy benefits such as a car allowance, fuel card, laptop and phone.

Family Owned since 1956, Pope Packaging is an Australian market leader within the packaging industry, with operations throughout Australia and overseas employing eight hundred people. With a reputation of quality and service the business continues to invest in new equipment and technology. We are currently looking to employ a Sales Executive based at Welshpool working in the Papersacks and Flexibles divisions of the business, who will report directly to the relevant manager of each division. The operation covers sales, customer service and warehousing.

What you'll do:
As a Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our operations across sales, customer service and warehousing. You will lead the charge in developing our existing customer base while also identifying opportunities for growth within new markets. Your strategic thinking and exceptional negotiation skills will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives and business owners from both large and small organisations. Your ability to generate new business from both existing and new customers will be crucial to your success in this role.
Lead and take accountability for developing existing customer salesProactively drive sales growth in new market segments and new customersDeliver a high level of customer satisfaction through strategic thinking and negotiation skillsBuild outstanding relationships with senior executives and business owners from large & small organisationsGenerate new business from existing and new customersOffer a collaborative service to customers ensuring stock/sales pipelines are maintained and visibleWhat you bring:
The ideal Sales Executive candidate brings a wealth of experience in lead generation, with proven success in generating new business from both existing and new customers. You have the flexibility to adapt your approach depending on the situation - whether it's nurturing existing accounts or hunting for new profitable business within new markets or customers. Your experience in selling locally manufactured products sets you apart, as does your commitment to quality service and continuous improvement within a lean manufacturing environment. You are driven to achieve set sales targets and KPIs, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills along with proficiency in IT, CRM, and Microsoft applications.
