The Role We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne, Australia.
As the Business Development Manager, you will:
Client Insights: Identify target clients using key demographics and market insights.Market Feedback: Provide valuable market feedback to ensure fair pricing and service offerings.Regular Meetings: Collaborate with the State Business Development Manager to stay ahead of market trends.Market Understanding: Understand other companies' strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.Client Engagement: Ensure regular client visits and convert opportunities into profitable business.Product Development: Develop a balanced product mix across Ocean, Air, and other services.About You To be successful in this role, you will need:
Proven success in global forwarding sales with a strong understanding of the sales process.In-depth knowledge of global forwarding operations, other companies, and market trends.Ability to identify client needs and provide effective solutions.Strong commercial awareness and ability to differentiate our offerings in the marketplace.Extensive network of industry contacts and excellent knowledge of trade lanes and customs procedures.Strong numerical and problem-solving abilities to support decision-making.You must be entitled to work in Australia and be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical.
