Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager focused on federal and local government clients, you'll be instrumental in building and managing relationships with government agencies.
You'll work closely with key departments, including but not limited to:
Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and ForestryDepartment of Health and Aged CareDepartment of Veterans' AffairsDepartment of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and WaterDepartment of EducationDepartment of FinanceACT Government DepartmentsKey Responsibilities: You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and actively engaging with key accounts in the federal and local government sectors.
Prospect new business via available tools and face-to-face meetings.Build strong relationships with assigned accounts, including senior stakeholders, translating their needs into tailored solutions.Contribute to proposal and panel efforts with federal, state, and local agencies.Requirements: Experience: At least 4+ years in business development, particularly within the federal government context or have extensive 360 recruitment experience across a Federal Government desk.Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster strategic partnerships.
Knowledge of federal and local government sectors and familiarity with a sales management tool preferred.An energetic self-starter who feels just as comfortable representing CAPDA at trade shows and industry events as you do negotiating confidently over the phone.What's on offer?
