The Business Development Manager role is vital to explore business opportunities and to expand our clientele.
Central to the role is the development and successful implementation of effective sales strategies.
The goal is to drive financial growth by sustainably increasing sales and building dynamic client relationships while ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards and Crisis Group policies.
The Business Development Manager reports directly to the General Manager and must protect and promote Crisis' best interest at all times.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVESPossess a full understanding of Crisis business products and value propositionIncrease customer portfolio by promoting the company's servicesDevelop strategies focused both on revenue growth and customer satisfactionResearch business opportunities and viable revenue streamsEnsure sustainable business margins are continuously maintainedPrepare and present professional business proposalsUndertake cold calling, ensuring call targets are achievedCollaborate with clients to identify and meet their objectivesManage and develop relationships with allocated existing clientsProvide after-sales support through account managementRecord all sales activity in the CRM systemReport on sales, growth and SWOT analysis to the General ManagerKeep abreast of industry trends and their effect on CrisisWORK HEALTH AND SAFETY (WHS) RESPONSIBILITIESComply with WHS policies, procedures and safe work practicesAdopt work practices that support WHS programsEnsure that any hazardous conditions and injuries are reported immediatelyParticipate in meetings, training and other health and safety activitiesCooperate with Crisis in relations to activities taken to comply with WHS legislationSKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrate ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlinesDemonstrate exemplary communication skillsPreferably proven work experience in transport & logisticsProactive conflict resolution and strong analytical skillsAbility to self-motivate, excellent time management and organisation skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong stakeholder management skills and the capacity to develop internal and external professional networksExperience in achieving and exceeding revenue targetsProven history with design and implementation of business development strategiesProficiency in MS Office and experience working with CRM softwareThe Business Development Manager will conduct in-house training with other staff or consultants on any of the above areas.
Occasionally the Business Development Manager may be required to perform tasks outside the scope of their role to support staff leave or other company requirements.
