Ways to grow business, to give back to the environment and to enrich people's lives every day.Job DescriptionWorking with an impressive and iconic group of customers, the Business Development Manager's primary objective is to develop and realise sustainable sales opportunities, continuously finding new ways to diversify the customer base and nurture key accounts in a strategic and collaborative way that embeds and harnesses value and loyalty to both the customer and the business.Your tenacious and hands-on approach will help in identifying and winning up-sell and cross-selling opportunities as well as building the strategic sales pipeline within Pact's industrial division. You will also take the lead on pricing, maximising opportunities for new product development and ways of using the current expertise to differentiate us from the competition.Resilient with a strong desire to achieve, you will use your natural flair to develop robust multi-tiered relationships that will ensure delivery of an exceptional and quality customer experience for our Industrial packaging range.Your key responsibilities will be to:Proactively identify and lead the conversion of strategic business development and commercial opportunitiesDeliver on key business and sales targets, ensuring business and customer activity is captured in a timely mannerDeliver business reporting in accordance with company requirementsProactively work with Operations, Customer service and broader sales teams to ensure on-time customer service needs are met or exceededWith a demonstrable track record in sales account management, you will display sound understanding of bottom-line profitability and proven ability to devise and implement strategies that maximize sales opportunities in a competitive market.You will also have:Personal presence and credibility that builds stakeholder engagement.Relationship and account management experience gained in the packaging industryCurrent and valid Driver's LicenseComputer proficiency – MS Office suite and SAP (desirable)Ability to deliver customer-focused solutions through a value-add sales processStrong ability to influence, initiate and lead projectsExcellent organisational and time management skillsEntrepreneurial mindset, technical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes is highly beneficialProactive, genuine and pragmatic approach to customer concerns and relationshipsAdditional InformationAbout usOur vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
