ABOUT THE ROLELocated in Dandenong South/Melbourne our Business Development Manager works closely with the National Sales Manager, and State General Manager to grow and provide excellence in service to our existing and future client base. 
The purpose of this role is to increase revenue by generating and developing new business opportunities and being responsible for the relationship management of some of our most valued customers.
You will also be responsible for consistently achieving monthly revenue targets and margins within designated parameters.
HIGHEST SALARY PACKAGE IN THE INDUSTRY!Negotiable salary base Uncapped commission structure - unrivalled opportunity! Car allowanceCompany iPhone and laptopFully stocked kitchen and weekly Friday lunchesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Canvassing prospective vendors and winning new businessIncreasing the seller base in all sales streamsLead generation and management to set up meeting opportunitiesAdministrative follow up including but not limited to proposals, agency agreements, GID forms, emails, and reportingNegotiating business contractsComplete client proposals and presentations as requiredAssessment of assets for viability before accepting the jobCompleted valuation of assets as requiredConducting regular visits and calls to an existing client base to nurture relationshipsRespond to all referrals of unsold items post-auctionABOUT YOUAt least 4 years' experience in a business development roleCurrent industry knowledge and experience, coupled with working network within trucks, machinery and/or motor vehicles, (earthmoving, mining, marine, and/or aviation is also beneficial); with general awareness of logistics and transport coordinationProven track record in consistently achieving and exceeding sales targetsConsistent in providing high level of customer service across multiple levelsStrong negotiation skills and a passion for effective problem solvingSales mentality with an ability to cold call multiple opportunities daily Ability to develop positive, constructive and forward-thinking working relationshipsStrong computer skills - experience with Salesforce desirable but not essentialCurrent Driver's license & willingness to travel for businessSuccessful candidate will be required to complete Police checkWe are looking for driven sales-oriented people with a convivial, high-energy personality.
