Established over 150 years ago, this company specialises in air and sea freight imports and exports as well as supply chain management, customer brokerage, customs consultation, and warehousing & distribution.
The Position The Business Development Manager - Victoria will be joining a young and hungry team working from the Tullamarine base.
You will be given some ongoing account to manage but ultimately you will be responsible for developing your own business network all across Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
On an average day you will: Source and develop new accounts Manage previously on-boarded accounts Visit and present to customers Prepare sales presentations Create solutions for customers' needs Prepare quotations Onboard new clients You will have the ability to sell all types of logistics and freight solutions to your customers, anything from project cargo, perishables, reefer, pharma, healthcare and in many more verticals.
The Package If you are the right person for the role then this company will offer: A salary of $110k - A$120k + Super Uncapped commission structure $15k pa Car allowance Company phone and laptop The Candidate This job would suit a candidate that has had recent experience selling freight forwarding solutions into any industry, preferably multiple different industries.
The ideal candidate will also have the following attributes: Experience in both air and sea freight Experience in 3PL (third party logistics) An understanding and experience in customs clearance A new business development attitude Be able to operate autonomously The ability to achieve sales targets set by management Ideally this company requires a no-nonsense salesperson who enjoys engaging their customer base on a regular basis.
