They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team and drive our business growth.
Position Overview: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth in our wet hire and plant hire services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the excavation industry, particularly with excavator hire, and a proven track record in business development and sales.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous wet hire experience and worked previously for a large hire company.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base and increase revenue in wet hire and plant hire services.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the excavation and earthmoving industry.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business growth objectives.
Proposals and Contracts: Prepare and present compelling proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with clients.
Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure the seamless delivery of services and client satisfaction.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
Brand Promotion: Represent Leading Excavation Solutions at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance our brand presence.
Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the excavation or construction industry, with a focus on wet hire and plant hire services.
In-depth knowledge of excavator hire and the operational requirements of excavation projects.
Strong network of contacts within the construction and infrastructure sectors in Melbourne.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
