About the role: The Business Development Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships and providing recommendations regarding opportunities and changes to the portfolio, supplier mix, and commercial terms, negotiating to achieve the business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Conduct regular supplier performance reviews along with reviewing/recommending alternate supplier options as required. Ensure all project details are accurately maintained in the portfolio database. Brief supplier changes to PMO/other key stakeholders. Renegotiate COGS savings, MOQ improvements, and other contractual terms as required. Assist in managing issue escalation with suppliers, involving other operational departments, as necessary. Analyse multiple global databases/IMS mapping, conduct market research, and interrogate other sources to identify potential new Rx, OTC, and Veterinary products. Includes generic, differentiated generic, and NCE products. Work with the IP team to determine the earliest possible launch dates ensuring project prioritisation based on anticipated market formation dates. Finalise pricing in line with the Australian market and business case requirements. Negotiate and execute supplier contracts before launch. Present recommended business cases to the General Manager – Business Development and other key stakeholders for approval, justifying your recommendations based on both commercial and other key factors, including market research where applicable. Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Analyst or Business Development position in the pharmaceutical industry. Experienced in successfully negotiating required business outcomes. Ability to present analysis and solutions. Strong influencing skills, with the ability to provide direction, motivate, and engage others in the achievement of goals. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to create innovative workable solutions; proactive anticipation of needs, with the ability to foresee challenges and problems, and take action to prevent them. Excellent multi-tasking skills, with the ability to pivot concentration smoothly and entirely from one activity to another. Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
