Background Building Industry Training (B.I.T.) is an incredibly fast-growing RTO servicing clients including over 1200 apprentices/trainees throughout Queensland.
B.I.T. has an agenda to produce tradespeople for the future and has developed systems and processes that is establishing the organisation as a training provider of choice.
About the role THIS IS A STATE WIDE ROLE - ANY LOCATION FROM SUNSHINE COAST THROUGH TO TWEED HEADS, PLEASE APPLY (OFFICE IN ARUNDEL) The BDM is responsible for securing new business opportunities (new apprentices and employers), with areas to be targeted including Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Darling Downs (State-Wide Role) and surrounds for Building Industry Training in line with the designated business strategy. Some travel is required to these and surrounding regions.
Maintain data integrity within database and business management platforms (Axcelerate).
Provide industry insights back to the business and work with management team in the development and execution of marketing strategies.

Specific duties pertaining to the role include: Creating strong relationships with external parties is crucial. Focused primarily on ACAP (AASN) relationships building and partnershipsPromote B.I.T. by developing strong relationships and providing efficient customer service to stakeholders with an agenda to increase customer satisfaction and encouraging "repeat business" opportunities.Direct marketing to potential employers on building and construction sites. Direct marketing to potential apprentices at various sites and using a range of methods including but not limited to cold calling, casual leasing stands, emails, "Slab-Bashing" etc. Maintaining and managing all social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram accounts with weekly updates and posts. Meeting with both existing and potential ACAP's (Previously known as AASN's), GTO's and employers to market B.I.T. services and to keep them updated with all new developments, trends and news that impacts on them. Maintaining relationships with all existing clients through frequent email, phone call and physical meetings. Maintaining and engaging in industry partner relationships EG. Master Builders, QTA, Brick & Block Careers.Engaging in compliance market updates and implement changes and industry updates from The Department of Employment, Small Business and Training.Staying up to date with industry trends and market changes. Generating marketing strategies to recruit new clients and maintain existing clients. This can include developing new marketing materials to suit those strategies. Organising and attending trade shows and other information events relative to the marketing of the business. Providing support to the office team in obtaining employer/supervisor qualifications and liaising with clients on their behalf to obtain relevant information and resolve issues, as required. Researching, analysing and crunching data to inform current and future marketing opportunities.Adhering to KPI's set by the business.Other Duties: Become a MATES in construction ASIST volunteer to help industry with suicide prevention.Attending management and training meetings and on regular basis.Updating the team and updating management as required on work on a regular basis.Train and supervise other marketing team members including contractors and trainers. Providing advice and support in other areas of RTO Operations as required.Other various duties as directed by the Directors and RTO Manager from time to time. Skills, Experience and Qualification, You Must Have: A current positive Working with Children Blue card or be able to obtain one.A Valid Drivers Licence with no risk of loss.A White Card CPCCWHS1001 or be able to obtain one. Experience using CRM systems. Working with data entry systems and maintaining records. New business development acquisition.Desirable Skills and Experience and Attitude: Understanding of the VET sector, funding and compliance requirements. Previous VET sector and RTO experience highly regarded but not essential. Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.Exceptional data entry and compliant work skills.Ability to work autonomously and part of team. Demonstrated ability and willingness to quickly acquire operational knowledge of new processes. Demonstrated quality system management and process improvement experience.
