My client is a leader in the supply of industrial packing solutions to the Australian market. They are seeking a talented Business Development Manager for their southern region to drive this successful business forward.

About You

Proven track record of success in sales development or related roles within an industrial B2B environment, with a minimum of 5 years of experience

Previous experience in industrial packaging or bulk cargo industries highly valued

Commercial / business qualifications preferred but not essential

Self-motivated, persistent and ability to work alone or as part of a team as required

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients

Data driven, results oriented, customer focused

What You Will Do:

Lead Generation: Spearhead the identification and targeting of potential clients

Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline effectively by qualifying leads, tracking progress, and prioritizing opportunities to ensure timely follow-up and conversion

Teamwork: Work collaboratively with Sales Managers to ensure alignment in the marketplace and with sales and logistics regarding product development, forecasting, and supply strategy

Strategy Development: Collaborate with other functions to develop comprehensive sales strategies that align with company objectives, leveraging market insights and industry trends to drive growth

Performance Analysis: Monitor sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize results

Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with potential clients, industry partners, and key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility, foster trust, and facilitate long-term business partnerships

Market Research: Stay abreast of market developments, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify emerging opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly

Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management
