Our growth, from modest beginnings, is due to EPE's visionary leadership and well-knit team of dedicated, professional staff.What is the Role?This is a senior role responsible for discharging EPE's Canberra-based business development strategy. Success in the role will see you developing and managing relationships with senior levels of Government and industry - principally Defence - to shape and capture major opportunities in line with the company's strategic plans and revenue targets.The key functions of the role are to:Convert existing opportunities into sales, from: Army HQ / Joint HQ; SPOs; SOCOMD; other domains, other government agencies and prime contractors;Identify and grow EPE's pipeline of new opportunities;The role is full-time, although for the right candidate it could be discharged four days per week. The position comes with some of the usual out-of-hours commitments, and the associated flexibility, of a senior level role. It will be based from our new Canberra footprint being established in Brindabella Park.Work Experience and SkillsThe successful candidate will have:2-3 years' experience post their time in the Land domain, or possibly Joint HQ;Experience in capability development, project development, or both;Experience converting opportunities into sales;Demonstrated proactivity and leadership behaviours;A detailed understanding of force protection;Contemporary contacts;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;And preferably be NV2 Security Cleared;Why EPE?EPE has a flat organisational structure and streamlined decision-making processes, with centralised onshore support.
