About the Role As  Business Development Manager, you will lead the strategic expansion of Trapeze's bus software technology solutions in the Australian and New Zealand markets, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving sales targets.
You'll have the opportunity to: Create and execute strategic sales plans aligned with key stages and customer commitments. 
Forecast and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets, utilizing Salesforce and adhering to pipeline, best case, and commitment principles. 
Establish, maintain, and expand relationships with prospective and existing customers. 
Develop and manage strategic customer account plans and deal plans based on current best practice. 
Own the execution of a value-based sales methodology. 
Lead the preparation of pricing, sales contracts, and ensure adherence to established laws and company guidelines. 
Engage with the broader internal team, ensuring key stakeholders are aware of support requirements for specific opportunities. 
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions, providing timely insights and recommendations to help educate and solve customer problems and drive innovation. 
Attend People Transport conferences and events to meet and follow up on leads, MQL and SQL targets. 
What you'll bring to the role: Previous experience as a BDM, Sales Executive, or similar, with a background in complex technology sales. 
Demonstrated experience in strategic pricing strategies for software sales commercial engagements. 
An understanding of best practice and operating principles within the Bus or Community Transport industry is desirable. 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling value proposition. 
Proven ability to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets while efficiently managing multiple opportunities. 
Experience in using CRM for opportunity management (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
