TRADING /SALES REPRESENTATIVE – (Planning & Procurement).About the BusinessManhari Metals (ISO/IMS Certified) started its journey in 2007 and has grown to become a renowned name in Victoria's metal recycling industry. Today, Manhari Metals is among Melbourne's leading recycling companies, with its operations including buying, selling, and processing both ferrous and nonferrous metal scrap.Manhari Metals is also an established brand in Victoria, providing local businesses and governments with an opportunity to recycle metal waste and help keep Victoria clean and green.Manhari Metals recycling is one of the emerging industries in Australia that now employs hundreds of individuals from local and international markets.Your responsibilities will include:Being part of a team of trade account managers to maximize market share in Victoria.Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.Participating in weekly planning and procurement (Sales) meetings with an established plan of forecasts of the next 2 weeks' incoming procurements (Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals in Tonnages). Report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics.Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.Record keeping (Including ISO9001 Supplier setup documents, etc.).Helping in the warehouse when needed.Building a customer database.Overseeing a portfolio of existing accounts as well as developing new business.Door to Door business visits.Developing rapport with customers, tailoring our products and service offerings to their specific needs, and addressing their issues.Monitor and follow all applicable laws and regulations.Prioritizing work demands to manage customer retention and satisfaction.Negotiating quotes and managing bespoke customer requirements.Contributing to sales presentations and tender reviews/submissions.Follow, predict, and hedge against all pricing trends and market changes related to steel, aluminium, stainless steel, and scrap industries.Continuously improve purchasing department practices by developing new and revising existing processes, procedures, and systems providing a distinct competitive advantage in the markets we serve.Negotiate ferrous and non-ferrous metals pricing with material suppliers/customers.One of the main responsibilities is to bring tyres, E-waste, Solar panel scraps etc. as per the site's weekly/monthly requirements.Review quotations and bids for material requisition, for completeness and proper signature authority. Validate and/or recommend appropriate supplier selection, contact supplier, negotiate most favourable terms and initiate purchase order.About your experienceYou will be a confident leader with the ability to work efficiently with a cross-functional team as well as manage key customer relationships. To be successful in this role you will also have:A track record of successfully being part of a sales team.Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales/planning/procurement responsibilities (Metal/Recycling/Manufacturing/Automotive/Mining etc.).Previous experience in scrap metal trading or the waste industry is highly desirable.Ability to influence outcomes with various stakeholder groups to achieve strategic objectives.Neat and professional appearance and outgoing people-oriented personality.Solid computer skills including operating Windows-based personal computers and Google products.Self-motivated and detail-oriented.Ability to identify opportunities for growth or improvement across a complex business.Excellent client service skills and a passion for exceeding client expectations.Excellent communication skills, ability to interact constructively at all levels.A professional, welcoming character and presentation.High attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving ability.Ability to build ongoing rapport with clientele.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A calmness to work under pressure.Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.Ability to achieve supplier management requirements in price, delivery, and quality of materials.We offer you:Competitive salary package + Car or Car Allowance + Monthly Bonus, rewarding your achievements and efforts.
