About the role The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue by building relationships with new and existing exhibitors, securing sponsorships, and identifying growth opportunities. By creating compelling sales opportunities and packages, the Business Development Manager will help us continue to be a premier event that connects families with trusted brands and expert advice.
Key Responsibilities Business Development: Identify and engage with potential exhibitors, sponsors, and partners aligned with PBC BABY Expo's vision and values to build a pipeline of qualified new leads.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing exhibitors and sponsors. Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute effective sales strategies that align with event objectives, maximizing participation from exhibitors and revenue from sponsorships.Proposal Creation: Develop compelling sales proposals and sponsorship packages tailored to meet client needs and budget.Client Presentations: Conduct virtual and in-person presentations to clients, showcasing the benefits of participating in PBC BABY Expo and maximizing their brand's exposure to our audience.Market Research: Stay informed of market trends and competitors to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.Being a national events company this role will require some travel interstate to experience our industry leading best-in-market events first hand. It will be necessary to work outside normal business hours from time to time. Skills and Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably within events, consumer goods, or the parenting/baby industry.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.Self-motivated with a drive to exceed targets and achieve goals.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.What Next To apply, please do so via Seek, forwarding your letter of application and your current resume.
