We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional to join our team. We are looking for a Business Development Manager for a 6 month contract period to grow business and drive revenue within our Groups and Events portfolio. The role will identify new business accounts and opportunities for the National Sales Office as well as driving demand and supporting conversion of business in collaboration with the hotel and IHG Hotels and Resorts programs. The role will act as a primary point of contact for these accounts in Australasia on behalf of IHG hotels an Resorts.
What we need from you To be successful in this role the following skills and attributes are highly desirable.
Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business or Hospitality ManagementIn depth knowledge of sales principles and techniquesSelf motivated, sales focused with a passion for hunting and developing new business opportunitiesStrong networking with customers and business partners and flexible working approachAbility to develop strong nurturing win-win relationship with key stakeholdersConfidence in representing multiple properties and countriesAbility to utilise reporting to identify leadsDisplay an understanding of Domestic and International market trends and economic conditionsEstablishes goals and objectives, sets performance targets and delivery of projectsAbility in report writing and strong presentation skillsProven track record of achieving business to business sales outcomesKnowledge of IHG Hotels & Resorts Hotels and programs to attract new business opportunitiesWhat we offer In return, we'll give you a competitive benefits package including salary, and discounted accommodation worldwide and the opportunity to progress your career with IHG.
