The Role We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in the food packaging or machinery industry who already is established in the F&B sectors and is skilled in identifying business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving growth. You'll play a key role in expanding our customer base, managing client accounts, and promoting our range of packaging machinery solutions.
Key Responsibilities New Business Development: Identify and secure new clients within the F&B manufacturing and packaging sector.Account Management: Develop and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and market expansion goals.Product Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of our machinery solutions to effectively present and advise clients on the best options for their operations.Market Analysis: Conduct research to stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and new market opportunities.Collaborate Internally: Work closely with engineering, product development, and after-sales teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and successful project implementation.Reporting: Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and client feedback to inform strategic planning and decision-making. Key Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales, within the F&B packaging machinery sector.Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of machinery or technical sales with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.Sales Skills: Demonstrated success in sales growth, lead generation, and account management.Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Travel: Willingness to travel within Melbourne and potentially interstate as required.
