We are the last mill of our kind in Australia and are proud to spin, weave and finish each textile onsite.The Opportunity:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to help broaden the reach of our iconic brand. Reporting directly to the Executive Team, you'll have the opportunity to shape the trajectory of our wholesale and commercial sales and lead the development and implementation of strategic partnerships.Key Responsibilities Include:Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategically expanding our market presence.Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, product development, and logistics to support the successful execution of sales strategies.Lead negotiations for longer-term strategic product collaborations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimise product assortment.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.Provide product training and support to key collaborators to enhance product knowledge and drive sales.Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform sales strategies and decision-making.About You:Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or related field.Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within the homewares, fashion or consumer products industry.Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer needs.Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for making a difference.Demonstrated ability to establish a legacy of success and innovation.Experience working with commercial partners, wholesalers and retail chains.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in analysing sales data and market trends.Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.What Waverley Mills can offer:Competitive salary and bonus structure.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Dynamic and collaborative work environment.A chance to make a significant impact and contribute to the company's legacy.Apply now by submitting your resume and cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why Waverley Mills is of particular interest to you.
