A Day in the life of a BDM Showcase Essential Flavours: you will promote and represent the Essential brand to the market, utilising Essential's sales framework and tools.
Demonstrating your technical knowledge of our products, market knowledge and a deep understanding of our customers' needs.
Travelling intrastate and interstate conducting client visits.
Identify new partnership opportunities: using your market insights you will identify uncontested market space, create and capture new demand, and engage customers in future-focused discussions to identify new opportunities and explore opportunities for differentiation to drive a higher perceived value.
Promotion of products: you will drive the adoption of the existing product range to new clients.
Innovation: bringing your expertise to the fore, you will evaluate customer requirements and develop solutions, in collaboration with the Flavour Creation and Sensory Teams that allow Essential to showcase its technical leadership in flavour development.
Provide exceptional customer service: closely liaising with existing customers, you will secure continued business by driving a higher perceived value through differentiation.
You will ensure customer enquiries are effectively managed, delegating responses and technical information requests.
Portfolio targets & analysis: you will meet and exceed portfolio and performance targets, have the ability to analyse your portfolio, to have a deep understanding of the numbers, trends and forecasts.
Our BDMs have the technical, project management and digital support they need, so they can focus on their clients, leading to better outcomes and exceptional results.
And You.
Minimum 5 years' experience in new business development, driving business growth and partnering with clients in successful project delivery.
Interest in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or other related field.
Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously (this role involves interstate travel and time working from home).
Highly organised, excellent time management and planning.
High problem solving skills.
Superior communication and presentation skills.
High levels of initiative.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
A great attitude and ability to provide outstanding customer service.
A real passion for trends and market analysis.
An appreciation and respect for technical innovation with the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
