Drivetrain is the Australian authorised distributor for Dana Spicer Driveline Components, Kovatera underground utility vehicles, Guascor Gas power generators, and many others. An opportunity has arisen at Drivetrain for a Business Development Manager – Energy to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
Aligned with the Drivetrain core strategic business plans, the BDM will focus on developing new power generation and gas processing project opportunities to increase the installation base of Drivetrain's available product range of gas engines and valves resulting in growth of the core business areas of parts and service.
Location of the role is flexible, preferably within distance of a Drivetrain branch.
Key Responsibilities:Execute the strategic plan for the energy business by growing the install base of gas power generation equipment leading to aftermarket parts and service opportunity.Develop new business opportunities for power generator supply, power station design and delivery, and gas valves installations.Manage the energy business development sales cycle from customer requirements to delivery.Generate and maintain a network of industry relationships leading to business opportunities.Prepare and present proposals, tenders, service, and equipment supply agreements.To be successful in this role, you will have the following:Over 5 years sales experience in the gas power generation industry demonstrated business development skills in both Maintenance and Capital Equipment sales.Advanced relationship development and management skills internally and externally.Sound technical knowledge of power generation equipment supported by an engineering background.Sound knowledge of the energy markets within Australia.Advanced skills in Microsoft office programs.Strong communication skills (verbal and written English).Strong problem solving and demonstrated skills in project management.Excellent B to B long cycle business development, strategic selling and negotiation skills.A network of contacts within the Australian energy industry.Bachelor of Engineering and/or other qualifications relevant to the role.We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and value diversity in our workforce, recognising and valuing all people who bring their own unique backgrounds, capabilities, experiences and characteristics to work.
