Our client is an Australian Design House, specialising in producing end-to-end furniture solutions that are designed and manufactured in Melbourne. The Founders draw upon their respective award-winning backgrounds in Industrial Design and Visual Arts and are renowned within the Architecture & Design Industry for producing locally manufactured pieces, offering customisation and working closely with clients to accommodate needs of fabrication, texture and dimension. This blend of design elements has seen them service the commercial, hospitality and residential sectors worldwide.
As the Business Development Manager, you will work closely with Tier 1 architects, interior designers and project managers in the design/contract trade industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesManagekey accounts, and generatesales across all areas of the Architectural and Specifier MarketBuild a strong rapport with key commercial interior designers and premium clientsSolution focused sales approach, promoting a high-end, customisable and bespoke product rangeThe pursuit and development of sales leads with the ability to close the saleFostering new and existing client relationshipsAttending various industry and networking functions Skills & Experience:Commercial Furniture, or related product experienceA&D industry connectionsStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability easily build rapportAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAssertive, with a solutions based sales approachA keen interest in design and broader design communityAbility to work in a team environment, as well as autonomously Culture & BenefitsBased in a stunning Collingwood showroomBepart of a small and dynamic teamInteract with Tier 1 industry clients Bio: Emma started her career in Dubai working in sales & marketing for some of the world's leading Hotels & Resorts. Following her move to Melbourne, Emma followed her passion for design and seamlessly transferred her skills into the Architecture & Design industry, working as National Advertising Manager for Architecture Media's portfolio of industry leading publications and events. She then moved product side representing a leading textile wholesaler and custom commercial furniture supplier, working directly with architects and designers. Emma loves drawing on her extensive industry experience, helping architectural and interior product suppliers to recruit salespeople, business development and support staff.
