Business Development Manager - Brisbane/Gold Coast Our client has been established for over 40 years, and today is an industry leader in the hire and sales of access equipment including crane dry hire across Australia. They are proud of their service and proud to be one of the few hire companies in Australia to be ISO9001 and AS4801 certified, underpinned by the exceptional service.   The role of the BDM is targeting, tender preparation and delivery/performance of access equipment and cranes for Brisbane & Gold Coast clients and major projects and to increase the customer base by introducing to potential and existing customers' our clients' products and services – resulting in business growth and profit.   Reporting to the State Sales Manager and working with a dynamic state-based sales team, you will be primarily responsible for gaining new customers and revenue for the business in addition to retaining and growing a profitable portfolio of existing customers within your region.   Your key responsibilities will include: Ensuring the continued success and increase in the sale of hire equipment within the hire division through the proactive development of existing customers and the identification and acquisition of new accounts. Pipeline identification and management to deliver to agreed KPIs (including revenue targets, quotes out, new business acquisition) (hot and cold lead management) A well established network across the construction sector Collaborating with the Sales Manager to develop a sales /plans for your region and then leading the execution of those plans The education of our clients' solutions to current and potential customers, ensuring they receive advantageous site and business solutions The preparation of tender responses and draft proposals and costings, along with the preparation of quotes and contracts Organic growth of existing accounts, including the proactive account management of key accounts to support their retention and CX. Demonstrate a confident solutions sales approach Operate as the Voice of Customer back to the business Preparing and submitting regular quotes and tenders to customers. Maintain current knowledge of OH&S to Australian standards Achieving agreed Sales Budgets, Targets & KPI's in line with the business unit plans. Collaborating with peers and executives across the business, leveraging off expertise and contributing as required to maximise business outcomes. Demonstrate a disciplined use of the organisations CRM system.  Sales coaching/mentoring approach to the Sales Coordinator The completion of timely weekly sales and client reporting Demonstrate a strong solutions orientation Report on customer call and site plans and customer product requirements, including progression reporting   What you will bring to the role: Significant experience in commercial/industrial B2B sales ideally into/across the commercial or industrial or high-rise construction and mining sectors (ideally 10 years) Proven pipeline development and management skills Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills Excellent planning skills Proven sales methodology A history of success delivering to agreed KPIs / sales targets Proven experience in converting prospects and quotes to profitable new business Proven experience developing and resigning existing customers to maximise revenue Demonstrating the company values daily Demonstrated sound time management and organisation and planning skills Confident negotiation and influencing skills Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to work with all personality types Confident presentation skills with the ability to liaise and interact at all levels Excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation, conflict management and relationship building skills Current Australian driver's license     What's in it for you?
