We are now looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our high performing Boats and Caravans sales team, based in Victoria.
At Grays, this Business Development Manager role involves a mixture of warm leads and high sales activity where you will be expected to generate new business sales through face-to-face interactions. Also building relationships to become a trusted partner for disposal of surplus assets such as Boats and Caravans is key to this role. Ideally you will already be playing in this area and have some firm contacts.

Your responsibilities: Work through a mix of high-volume cold calls and warm leads including repeat or dormant accounts to ensure all possible sales opportunities have been identified.Assessing potential partners, performing competitive research, evaluating proposed deals/partnerships and analysing and developing business cases for new business targets.Be a lead point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders, all while providing exceptional customer service.Build strong professional relationships within your local and national team.Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to ensure budget, KPIs & KPAs are being met.Build quick and sustainable rapport with customers by being onsite to provide them with market leading guidance and sales solutions for their sales needs.Utilise your strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills to secure and close new business.Plan/Market local sales strategies, proposals, and presentations.Continually identify new trends that generate new business across a range of industrial categories.Successfully execute our brand and messaging strategy and act as an external evangelist of the brand.Some travel will be required to execute your goals, so a drivers licence and great planning skills are a must.We're looking for some who has: Industry experience and contacts highly desirable.Proven sales ability and track record of overachievement and successfully growing market share and identifying, negotiating/converting and closing large dollar deals.Expert product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment.Market knowledge and/or existing relationships across industrial categories such as transport, earthmoving, construction & manufacturing.A mindset that is flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing business/market environment.Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).A willingness to travel (valid driver's license compulsory).The ability to work and collaborate well with remote colleagues and remote leader.What's in it for you: An opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing Australian company whilst collaborating with a highly motivated team.A competitive salary and an excellent incentive scheme.
