Our Business Development Manager is responsible for generating sales, managing accounts, and developing new leads for Bloum, a SaaS software product that measures wellbeing and academic scores in students and helps schools support students over their individual learning journeys.
Here's what you'll be doing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction. Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure. Develop and implement business development strategies focused on financial gain and closure of new clients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools. Identify new markets and customer needs through research and analysis. Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions to identify emerging opportunities. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline sales. Collaborate with other departments to deliver the best experience for Bloum. Here's what you'll bring: Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the tech industry. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Knowledge of sales methodologies and CRM tools. Ability to manage projects, multitask, and meet deadlines effectively. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to IT and non-IT stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines. Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment to prioritise accordingly. Please note that all team members must have a valid state-based Working with Children Check (WWCC), Police check, and be authorised to work in Australia.
