You'll research potential clients, develop strategies, make calls, and engage with existing clients. You may also be asked to develop or review tenders and proposals for new work. Business development managers spend lots of time with clients, either at their office or another location. This may mean travelling interstate or overseas. They also frequently attend conferences and networking events which could require travel. You can find work in business development all around Australia. Most jobs are in cities and towns. Some are in remote areas.You may not need any qualifications to work in business development. However, a diploma or degree in business will be highly regarded by many employers.
