Tideri Jobbörse

Details of the offer

Based in Richmond, BC, on the beautiful west coast of Canada, Ideon Technologies uses the energy from supernova explosions to image down to 1 km beneath the Earth's surface.
A spin-off from TRIUMF (Canada's particle physics lab), Ideon is a world pioneer in cosmic-ray muon tomography and has developed a subsurface intelligence platform that integrates proprietary detectors, imaging systems, inversion technologies, and artificial intelligence to provide x-ray-like visibility underground.
By transforming muon data into reliable 3 D density maps, Ideon helps geologists identify, map, characterize, and monitor mineral deposits with confidence.
This reduces risk and cost of traditional methods, while saving time, optimizing return, and minimizing environmental impact across the mining value chain.
In turn, this is helping accelerate the world's transition to low-impact mining and transform how companies recover the critical minerals required to power the global shift to clean energy.
The Role We are seeking a Business Development Executive who will be responsible for driving growth of the company in the Australia & Asia Pacific region by providing consultative, strategic, business development as a domain expert in the technology and mining market.
You will report to the Vice President, Business Development (based in Canada) and work in a team setting with two Business Development Executives serving the North American region and another Business Development Executive serving the APAC region.
You will focus on the following activities: Deliver against our go-to-market strategy for the region.
Develop and implement engaging account plans to identify opportunities, promote awareness of Ideon, influence decisions, sell our solutions, and negotiate successful contracts.
Maintain account, opportunity, and retention plans for key customer accounts and opportunities.
Work with customers to understand their problems and leverage that knowledge to advise internally about the solutions that Ideon can provide.
Provide insight to the Ideon product development and geoscience teams to let them know what technical success looks like for the customer, including highlighting complementary capabilities to further enhance Ideon's proposition to the customer.
Work across customer organizations to effectively manage engagement with economic buyers, project sponsors, technical teams, innovation, centres of excellence, middle management, and executive teams to successfully identify opportunities and to ensure that Ideon is strategically positioned to capture them.
Close deals and meet bold targets for conversion volume, strategic growth, and other key objectives.
Commit to making our customer relationship management (CRM) platform an integral part of developing a high-performance go-to-market capability, centred on the customer, and founded on robust sales processes.
Work in tandem with Business Development Executives in other global regions to ensure superior account management.
Collaborate with Ideon executive leadership to develop further customer growth.
Success in the role looks like: Meeting or exceeding our annual recurring revenue targets.
Nurturing our existing relationships with a view to expanding across customer organizations.
Building new, value-added relationships with targeted customers.

10+ years experience in business development or strategic account management in a technology-based, business-to-business environment.
5+ years experience directly inside or supporting the mining industry.
Diploma/degree in business, commerce, or combination of training and experience; education or experience in mine engineering, mine operations, or geosciences is an asset.
A strong active business network across the target industry and region.
Experience closing large scale deals ($250 K-Ms) over long sales cycles.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a can-do attitude and creative solutioning skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to build meaningful relationships with all levels of staff, stakeholders, and clients.

We also look for the following for all team members: Experience or excitement for working in a tech scale-up; happy to wear a few hats and learn on the fly.
Willingness to learn, be adaptable, and take initiative in an ever-evolving environment.

Solid teamwork skills; you'll jump in to help where you can.
Spanish language skills would be a great asset.
Able to add something "extra" to our culture beyond the work that you do.
Job Requirements Location & Remote Work: This is a remote role open to individuals based in Australia.
Ideon doesn't yet have an Australian entity established; as such you are welcome to work anywhere in Australia though a preference is for candidates located near our customers in the west (i.e.
Perth) or east (i.e.
Brisbane, Sydney).
Ideon's office is located in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.
Travel: There will be occasional travel to our Canadian office during onboarding and periodically, in addition to significant customer meetings in Australia and Asia-Pacific as required.
Hours of work: Approximately 7-3, Monday to Friday, local time.
You will be asked to be flexible with your hours due to business requirements and the time difference between your location, our head office on the West Coast of Canada, and customer locations.
What We Offer Remuneration: The annual base salary range for this role, in Australian dollars, is $150,000 - 195,000 + short term incentive pay/OTE.
Ideon's salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
The range reflects the minimum and maximum new employee salary.
It is not typical for a new employee to be hired at the top of the range; as experienced as someone may be they likely won't have the directly applicable experience unique to working at Ideon.
In exceptional circumstances, though, where a candidate has the knowledge, skills, and experience to far exceed those needed for the position, we could consider compensating at the top of the range.
In the application process you will be asked to provide your salary expectations.
If you move forward in the hiring process, in our initial conversation we'll also clarify expectations and provide additional info on what Ideon's total compensation package includes.
An opportunity to work with a dynamic technology scale-up.
You will be working to advance a ground-breaking solution that generates significant economic and environmental benefit.
A team that is entrepreneurial by nature, mission-driven, and focused on doing things right to deliver great customer outcomes.
20 days annual leave and 10 days personal/carer's leave.
Superannuation contributions.
Accreditation and tuition support.
Employee referral bonus.
Casual dress – we like our jeans and hoodies.
While we work hard we also sprinkle social events and learning opportunities into our days.
What It's Like Here Great ideas and rich company culture come from diversity of thought, experience, and perspective.
The Ideon culture is anchored in a set of core values that directly shape how we hire, coach, evaluate, and develop our people: Driven by industry, informed by science We solve industry problems with scientific rigour: listening carefully, analyzing the data, and developing solutions that our clients – and the planet – cannot live without.
Inspired to create, wired to deliver We're imaginative, creating new possibilities and embracing the diversity of thought and experience within our team to move with urgency, learn from our failures, and execute masterfully.
Unified team, personally accountable We have each other's backs and operate with integrity, respect, and empathy.
Success depends on leaving egos at the door, celebrating our differences, delivering promises, and owning the outcome together.
Boldly ambitious, exceptionally human We think big and have the courage to blaze new trails.
We're in this business to win, but that doesn't mean we compromise on doing the right thing for our people, our clients, and our world.
How to Apply and Accommodation Requests We have partnered with Australian-based recruitment company, MPI, to help us find the right person for this role.
