The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experiencedBusiness Development Coordinatorto join our team. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable growth by increasing NDIS engagement specifically in theWest Metro, Whittlesea, and Ballarat regions. You will be responsible for identifying and securing partnerships with external stakeholders, exploring new opportunities for growth, and aligning efforts with ODI's strategic goals.
Key Details:
Competitive Salary:$70,000 - $80,000 pro rata (depending on experience), plus super and an attractive salary package.
Flexible Hours:30.4 hours per week, with flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
Generous Leave:5 weeks of annual leave.
Contract Tenure:Initially until December 2025, with the possibility of extension based on performance and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
Cultivate New Business:Identify opportunities for sustainable growth in program uptake and engagement.
Stakeholder Relationships:Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Strategic Collaboration:Work with the Program department to tailor targeted programs and services.
Outreach Activities:Engage potential participants and organisations through cold-calling and respond to incoming leads.
Presentation & Advocacy:Deliver compelling presentations to potential partners, clearly articulating the benefits of collaboration.
Team Contribution:Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the organisation.
What You Bring
Educational Background:A relevant degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in marketing, business development, community engagement, or a related field.
Proven Success:Demonstrated success in expanding a client base and increasing revenue.
Business Acumen:Ability to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong analytical and report-writing abilities.
Interpersonal Skills:Strong advocacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with a service mindset.
NDIS Knowledge:Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and referral pathways, or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
Flexibility & Mobility:Willingness to travel as required, holding a current Driver's License.
Desirable Attributes
Experience in the community-based, not-for-profit sector.
Knowledge of community development approaches to service delivery.
Understanding of issues relevant to people from non-English speaking backgrounds.
