In a typical week in this job, you are likely to do the following things: In conjunction with site staff, identify individual participants/apprentice and trainee employment strengths and aspirations. Source vacancies matched to participant/apprentice and trainee needs using a range of strategies, or attract vacancies through marketing to contribute to the general job placement vacancy pool. Proactively engage in the local business community to identify and understand local business needs considering all opportunities across every CVGT program. Negotiate Wage Subsidies, workplace support and other support options to enhance participant/ apprentice or trainee employment prospects using available program funding sources. Provide feedback to other team members to assist participant/apprentice and trainee development. Refer participants/apprentices and trainees to vacancies. Confirm job placements that you have sourced and assist with the provision of post placement support or ongoing support as required. Engage in social media marketing, e-newsletters, and other mass-market opportunities. Where required, coordinate workplace assessments and job redesign. Conduct risk assessments on internships, apprenticeships or traineeships and other relevant placements. Monitor and maintain appropriate records and activity summaries in relevant software programs. Travel to part-time and outreach locations as required. Provide information and support to employers/host employers on employment matters Represent CVGT at relevant stakeholder meetings, industry groups, education days and employer networking events. Lead initiatives that drive community and employer engagement designed to increase placements. Participate in a regular audit schedule which includes Department assurance activity audits, internal quality audits and other program related audits.
