About the role: The Business Development Associate, working closely with the Business Development Manager, assists in the management of supplier relationships and provides recommendations regarding opportunities and changes to the portfolio, supplier mix, and commercial terms, negotiating to achieve the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
Review and identify alternate supplier options when required.
Ensure all project details are accurately maintained in the portfolio database.
Renegotiate COGS savings, MOQ improvements, and other contractual terms as required.
Conduct regular meetings with key suppliers.
Assist in managing issue escalation with suppliers, involving other operational departments as necessary.
Assist in analysing global databases/IMS mapping and conducting other research to identify potential new Rx, OTC, and Veterinary products, including generic, differentiated generic, and NCE products.
Work with the IP team and Business Development Manager to determine the earliest possible launch dates ensuring project prioritisation based on anticipated market formation dates.
Finalise pricing in line with the Australian market and business case requirements.
Negotiate and execute supplier contracts before launch, working closely with the Business Development Manager.
Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 years experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to present analysis and solutions to both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to create innovative workable solutions; proactive anticipation of needs, with the ability to foresee challenges and problems, and take action to prevent them.
Well-developed multi-tasking skills, with the ability to pivot concentration smoothly and entirely from one activity to another.
Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, etc.
