The role of Business Development Associate
To work as a key member of the Business Development team to support new sales opportunities, assisting in boosting growth and sales revenue of the company. The successful candidate will play a key part within a strong performing sales team by originating and securing new business mandates across multiple asset classes and APAC jurisdictions.

The candidate will have demonstrated their ability to work collaboratively in a team, self-generated new business revenue from new and existing clients, helped to improve the client experience from new deal inception to close, assisted with the successful implementation of our sales strategy, and helped to create a best in class working environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of business leads and introductions to maximise income growthAssist in the creation and implementation of the Business Development team's business strategyAssist in the creation and maintenance of calling plansEnsure accurate and up to date MI is consistently kept using internal CRM and reporting systems (Insightly) - high level of focus on ensuring inputting of high quality data on behalf of the Business Development teamCompile Insightly reports for weekly/ quarterly meetings with respective internal teamsUndertake market research to identify areas of opportunity to increase GLAS's market share and new target clientsAssist in creating brand recognition and awareness by working closely with product and delivery partners to market the full range of GLAS's products and servicesAttendance at external loan/DCM market related conferences for market knowledge and networking opportunities ensuring a write up of key points is undertaken and distributedReview of external market publications disseminating key information across the Business Development teamWork closely with Marketing and Business Development teams to create pitch material for Senior Business Development colleagues to present at client meetingsArrange and coordinate client entertainment and networking eventsAttend/accompany Senior Business Development colleagues to meeting opportunities ensuring production and distribution of call reports to be undertaken after each client meetingPreparation and delivery of fee proposals on new opportunities, liaising with other Business Development colleagues to ensure consistency in pricingDaily monitoring of outstanding fee proposals issued ensuring periodic follow ups occurAssist in the improvement of the client experience by following a won mandate from inception to closePresent regular updates of deal, meeting and proposal activity to the head of APAC Business DevelopmentDelivery of accurate MI to Senior Management on a regular basis on the financial performance and key sales metricsAssist in the analysis and reporting on GLAS's Loan and DCM book, looking at deal parties, asset classes, sectors, geographic locations etc.Highlight/escalate to senior Business Development colleagues key commercial terms of facility documentation following, referral from transactional colleagues, that require further negotiationAssist in arranging internal approval for any product or service that is not included in the GLAS Terms of Reference (including assisting in preparing presentations to Senior Management at internal committees)Assist in the weekly preparation of recently resulted and open mandatesStakeholder Management, build/ maintain strong internal and external relationshipsWork with the existing Business Development Team to assist with transactions or with meetings/presentationsComplete C6 (due diligence) checks on potential new deal partiesSpend time with key internal stakeholders to gain a good understanding on GLAS's service offering
Experience and Qualifications:
1-2+ years of sales and business development experienceGood knowledge of the loan and DCM marketsProven record of achieving sales and client calling objectivesKnowledge of key sectors in the region & regional transactionsAbility to build relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)Collaboratively working with each GLAS Business UnitSelf-motivation and effective time managementInterpersonal skillsAttention to detail
