BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR Up to $125,177.48 p.a. total salary package ($106,244.32- $112,266.80+ 11.5% super)*Permanent Full Time*dependent on skills and experience The City of Melville sits upon the shores of the beautiful Swan and Canning Rivers. The City of Melville is seeking a Business Development Advisor to create and implement business-friendly programs that support local businesses and enhance Melville's reputation as a vibrant destination and a place for events and experiences. You'll engage with stakeholders, provide expert advice, and contribute to cross-functional projects to foster economic prosperity and resilience. As a Business Development Advisor, your days will be filled with engaging with local businesses, developing and implementing programs to foster economic growth, and promoting Melville as a vibrant tourism and eco-tourism destination. You'll provide specialist advice, manage stakeholder relationships, and facilitate responsive business initiatives. You'll also support place management activities, participate in cross-functional projects, and ensure effective communication and reporting to drive sustainable outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will possess: Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Commerce, Economic Development, Community Engagement/Development or equivalent experience.Proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes efficiently and within set timelines.Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining relevant reports, correspondence, policies, strategies, and procedures.Ability to identify and address the specific needs of small businesses in their interactions with local government, tailoring improvement initiatives as needed.Basic knowledge of local government approval processes and regulatory frameworks.Elevate your work experience with the City of Melville's benefits!
