About the RoleAs an Assurance and Controls Lead, you will work closely with all Customer Protection Leads as a trusted advisor to ensure assurance requirements are embedded, delivered and complied with under ANZ's Group Risk Framework. You will ensure effective process controls are embedded in our model and draw on your risk and compliance and/or operations experience to enhance and evolve operational standards. Your key focus areas include:
Improving our customer's end-to-end journey along the operations value chainIdentifying emerging risks and taking action to mitigate impacts to our customers, shareholders, and bankersMaintaining a strong understanding of the external environment, legislative change, and regulatory sentimentRole Type: Permanent

What will your day look like?As an Assurance and Controls Lead, you will:
Attend team huddles and provide insights into risk events or upcoming legislative impacts, coaching teams to identify potential solutions or initiatives.Build an ongoing, robust understanding of the regulatory and business operating risk environment, monitor change and respond when needed.Assess risks, controls, and compliance requirements as a key contributor to the Customer Service Operations risk profile and within the business including operational risk assessments, SME advice in change management activity, critical analysis, input, and reporting to High Impact Processes value chain management.Manage the monthly risk forum and raise emerging operational risks and innovative mitigation strategies.Contribute to a continuous improvement discussion, identifying proactive risk management opportunities, undertake targeted risk reviews.Manage incident case management ensuring they are managed appropriately.Research the external environment and upcoming legislative change and regulator sentiment to identify emerging risks.Work with the business to ensure compliance and design changes required to respond to the emerging risks.Coordinate business responses for regulatory disclosures.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
