Your new role Joining the team as a Business and Systems Analyst, you will play a vital role in the Council's long term digital transformation, the day to day delivery of services and systems and the delivery of solutions to meet the council's strategic objectives.
In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of measurable process improvements and high-quality systems configuration.
You will be working closely with internal stakeholders to achieve optimised customer service solutions and business efficiency gains.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Customer Engagement and Requirements Analysis: Actively engage with internal customers to identify their systems and data needs, providing detailed analysis and documented business requirements for solution identification, implementation, and testing.
Process and System Documentation: Apply contemporary techniques and tools to model and document current and future state processes, system specifications, configurations, and test cases that support required solutions.
Systems Configuration and Best Practices: Utilise best practice methodologies for systems configuration, including repository, release and environment management, formal reviews, and rollback mechanisms, ensuring alignment with agreed changes.
Stakeholder Coordination and Testing: Work closely with relevant stakeholders to undertake testing that verifies process and system solutions are fit for production release, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure system and process enhancements are effectively adopted.
Support and Continuous Improvement: Engage with vendor technical specialists and communities of practice to provide direction and authoritative advice in support of system design, configuration, and administration, and assist with continuous improvement of practices, processes, and implementations.
What you'll need to succeed For this role, you will need to have tertiary ICT Qualifications coupled with demonstrated relevant experience in technical and human centered enterprise level business analysis and system configuration, using industry standard methodologies (such as BABOK) or extensive demonstrated relevant experience and industry certifications or extensive demonstrated equivalent experience and industry certifications.
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, including presentation skills, negotiation skills and the ability to write and document technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
