About the role:
Fantastic opportunity for an intermediate level BA who has at least 3 years' business analysis experience to work for one of Australia's leading Insurers. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working on risk/regulatory projects and experience in business continuity. Previous exposure to CPS230 would be ideal. Most importantly you will have a can-do attitude, be willing to learn and excel at building relationships.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 290 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.
What you'll do:
Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders. Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently. Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs. Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks where applicable. Create detailed user stories to support delivery. Work closely with squad/project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work. Work in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitating workshops and designing solution sessions. What you'll bring:
Minimum 3+ years' experience as a business analyst within a large complex organisation. Some previous experience working on risk/regulatory projects or CPS 230. Ability to understand the technical impacts as the business problem is being presented. Business Continuity Management experience/exposure. Previous experience in canvassing large business areas to elicit information and piecing together a larger puzzle. Willingness to learn and be a team-player with the confidence and communication skills to engage with all levels of stakeholders. Experience with standard Agile tools i.e. JIRA & Confluence.
