The ANZ Business Analysis Manager leads our essential financial processes, including Budgeting, Forecasting, and Long Range Planning, and serves as the central narrator of our financial performance. They are essential in overseeing our systems, tools, and processes to guarantee we operate efficiently and drive impact through the business.
Performs and reviews analysis of present and future financial performance, financial plans in partnership across the product and commercial teams.
Works directly with the FP&A Director to translate top-down targets to an accountable budget for each group.
Delivers results through tracking performance, reporting accuracy, and partnering with business leaders to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results.
Develops and leverages relationships with customers (internal and external) to drive market share, and to understand and manage business risk.
Shares business insights and advances solutions and action plans to drive business outcomes to deliver long range goals as well as short-term accountabilities.
Applies understanding of the broader Microsoft context to offer solutions to ensure organizational objectives are met.
Conceptualizes and designs new approaches to how financial data is collected and evaluated to impact future outcomes and decisions.
Drives improvements in data management through automation.
Understands the interconnections between data, information, and results and translates this into forward-looking narratives and forecasts.
Drives the right tone from executive leadership and ensures strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Qualified candidates should have experience in Finance with strong demonstration of team collaboration, business partnering capabilities and analytical strength.
The successful candidate ideally has experience in Business Partnering roles in a subsidiary/Area, proven track record of achieving exceptional results through influence where no direct line authority exists.
This position involves a significant amount of exposure to executive and senior management and requires the ability to communicate ideas and analysis effectively, thereby influencing business decisions, so executive maturity, business acumen and presentation and communication skills need to be your strengths.
Responsibilities
Finance Excellence
Oversee the region's business cycles, including forecasting, quarterly segment reviews, and budget coordination.
Drive performance analysis, budgeting, and projections for the ANZ MCAPS business as a whole, ensuring clear insights and outcomes.
Analyse and challenge the premises and assumptions from area teams and solution areas to achieve the most accurate forecast and budget.
Collaborate closely with the BAM Community across ASIA and Corp to ensure we are optimising and leading process excellence in the field.
Lead and coordinate ANZ's response from key business Connections, such as SBR, VSU, and QBR.
Business Partnership
Utilize Microsoft tools to evaluate and discuss business forecasts, including Modern BI, predictive analytics, and MSX.
Leverage internal and external metrics and trends to provide clear insights and communicate effectively with Area leadership.
Deliver high-quality narratives of the Area's performance for executive meetings.
Partner deeply with the Operations Director and Business Program Manager to ensure a connected operational rhythm for financial deliverables.
Protect
Review and monitor the accuracy of financial documents and business processes to ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
Guide business partners on sharing financial information, using approved instruments and processes, and adhering to corporate policies.
Collaborate with Compliance groups to keep the team updated on company policies and procedures.
