As a Business Analyst you will drive the achievement of Westpac's strategy by collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business products, processes, policies, information, data, and systems.Key responsibilitiesManage conflict and resistance in collaborative activities, ensuring shared goals and joint responsibility, while providing direction.Identify and manage relevant stakeholders, overcoming conflict to build effective working relationships and achieve outcomes.Develop, plan, and execute activities to achieve agreed outcomes, re-prioritizing as needed, and planning risk mitigation strategies.Maintain accuracy and consistency of requirements, ensuring stakeholder approval and traceability to solution designs.Perform gap analysis between current and future states, recommending high-value approaches.Use data analysis techniques to aid in requirements analysis, producing requirements that support target business value and align with business cases.Define and evaluate performance measures for solutions, analysing data to assess effectiveness and value.Ensure that risks (project and operations) are raised and managed in accordance with set risk frameworks, including governance and escalation frameworks.What do I need?Demonstrated analytical mindset with the capability to anticipate and strategically plan ahead.Logical thinker with the ability to approach complex problems methodically and develop practical, high-impact solutions.Self-starter with strong independent work capabilities, complemented by excellent collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork.In-depth knowledge of project management disciplines, including advanced methodologies and best practices.Strong understanding of technology and business systems, both strategically and operationally, to drive business value and innovation.Experience as a business analyst in large, complex project delivery or tertiary qualifications.Experience with data migration, system uplift, system decommission, product simplification, core banking systems, and deposit products preferred.How do I apply?Start here.
