The business was established in direct response to the growing lack of credit in Australia's mid-range property market; a situation exacerbated by the shortage of reputable, risk-adverse, non-bank lenders.Fortis, our property development business, has a portfolio of more than $750 million in successfully completed residential and commercial projects, with a further $560 million to be completed by the end of the year.Due to continued growth, Pallas Capital's Operations team has an opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the team.Job DescriptionAbout the roleAs part of our established Sydney operations team, the Business Analyst is responsible for the evaluation and continuous improvement of Pallas Capital's systems and processes to improve productivity, reduce errors, improve transparency between teams, and enhance reporting and decision-making capabilities. You will also be responsible for the ongoing administration of core business systems and the preparation of financial models and data analytics tools and reports to provide business intelligence.Key Responsibilities:Documenting functional requirements and data mapping activities.Support the implementation of new unit registry & investor portal.Support the implementation of a new loan origination system.Support the implementation of a new loan management system.Perform User Acceptance Testing.Support production operational readiness for new functionality.Support automation of business process in new system.Updating & maintenance of policies & procedures.Development of financial models, as required.Development and ongoing management of treasury cash flow model.Support processing capital calls & distribution payments to investors.Data analysis and preparation of custom reports required by the business.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout youDemonstrated industry experience and domain knowledge in either alternative investments or commercial real estate debt.A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis within the banking and finance industry.A bachelor's degree in business or related field.Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.Experience managing and positively mentoring individuals and teams throughout the development lifecycle whilst contributing to a great culture.Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.Advanced technical skills.Excellent documentation skills.A track record of following through on commitments.Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.The people are entrepreneurial, the business is young and proving itself fast: it is a great time to join the group.
