We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst with in-depth knowledge of the Australian gaming industry and its state-specific regulatory frameworks to drive impactful projects and contribute to our success.
About the RoleIn this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs, product development, and compliance, ensuring projects are aligned with the diverse state regulations and market demands.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into actionable insights and solutions that support business growth and compliance objectives.

ResponsibilitiesBusiness Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders across product, operations, and compliance teams to identify business needs and translate them into clear functional requirements.Conduct detailed gap analysis between current processes and desired outcomes, proposing solutions to meet both business and regulatory requirements.Create business cases, process flow diagrams, and user stories to support project delivery.Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to specifications.Regulatory Compliance and Industry Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of gaming laws and regulatory differences between Australian states (e.g., NSW, Victoria, Queensland).Ensure business processes and product offerings comply with state-specific regulations, including restrictions on gaming machines, online wagering, and venue operations.Liaise with regulatory bodies to stay updated on changes to laws or licensing frameworks that impact business operations.Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Act as a liaison between business units, product managers, and technical teams to align product strategies with market demands.Facilitate workshops and meetings with key stakeholders to define requirements and resolve conflicts.Collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate third-party solutions seamlessly into the business.Data-Driven Decision Making: Work with the analytics team to interpret data trends and insights that inform product strategies and compliance reporting.Monitor KPIs and metrics to ensure business objectives are being met and identify areas for improvement.Provide regular reports and dashboards to senior management, ensuring transparency in performance and project status.About YouThe ideal candidate will bring in-depth gaming industry knowledge, along with the ability to navigate state-specific regulatory challenges and deliver solutions that meet both business and compliance goals.
You will have at least 3 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in agile environments.
A collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork, fostering an environment of mutual respect and open communication is a must.
Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the gaming or wagering industry.Strong understanding of state-specific gaming regulations (e.g., licensing frameworks, machine limits, wagering rules).Experience working across multiple jurisdictions with varying compliance requirements (NSW, VIC, QLD, etc.
).Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Office).Familiarity with agile frameworks and experience delivering projects in agile environments.Strong data analysis skills with experience using tools like Excel, Tableau etc.Ability to organise and create detailed user stories in Jira.Ability to use GenAI assistants to summarise, extract, and prepare first drafts and to generally speed up work.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Professional development opportunities through our L&D program and career growth.A collaborative and supportive work environment.Opportunity to work with a passionate and talented team.Barista coffee machine, quarterly celebrations and regular team events.The successful applicant will be required to obtain a VGCCC Gaming License and/or OLGR License.
